PHOTOS: Artful depictions of the usually naked women of ‘X’
We’re accustomed to seeing very literal photos of stars in this town. But photographer Maryanne Bilham conceived these lovely and thoughtful studio shots of the usually naked performers of “X Burlesque.”
If you want to see the photos in person, her “Fascinatrix” exhibit is on display through May 9 at the Knight Gallery at the Hilton. That’s the gallery of Bilham and husband Robert M. Knight, who I wrote about last year here.
They’re quite the accomplished photography couple. He’s shot pretty much everyone in the music industry. She, too, has worked with many legends, including an iconic Go-Go’s shoot I love. You can see more of her work here; his work here; and her studio is here.
