This Valentine's Day, home shoppers can choose what they love during Ryland Homes' My Favorite Places sales event. Throughout the month, Ryland is offering 20 percent off its Design Center options on all homes purchased. It also is introducing new elements at three local communities.
"Spring is on its way and Ryland Homes is full of new opportunities," said Dana Rogers, president of Ryland Homes' Nevada division. "From thousands off in our Design Center to new models and features, we are on the forefront of modern home design."
This month, Ryland introduces its popular Garamond model at Cordova Estates in Henderson and Kensington at Providence in the northwest valley.
"This is one of our most popular designs," said Cordova Estates sales agent Ken Harrell. "It is very flexible and available with 2,104 to 2,803 square feet of living space and up to six bedrooms."
The two-story home includes a three-car garage, and is available with either a downstairs or upstairs second master bedroom.
"There is also an option for (a second) laundry room, which is very unique in new-home designs," Harrell said.
The Garamond can include an optional balcony from the second-floor loft, an optional patio and deck.
This month, home buyers at Cordova Estates will receive a free kitchen upgrade, Harrell said.
Five floor plans in Cordova Estates range from 2,104 to 3,200 square feet with prices starting in the low $200,000s.
Ryland recently introduced rooftop decks at its Jasmine townhome community in Henderson. Offered with the community's unique "upside-down" Orchid model, the rooftop deck is accessed from the home's second-floor living room.
"This is a truly unique feature," Danny Morr, Jasmine sales agent, said. "How many people do you know that have a deck on their roof? It offers 360-degree views and a true outdoor living experience with an already popular home."
The 1,682-square-foot Orchid model includes three bedrooms, 2½ baths and a two-car garage. Jasmine offers three floor plans ranging from 1,479 to 1,682 square feet, with prices starting in the low $100,000s.
Ryland will introduce the Orchid model rooftop deck at Allora at Davyn Ridge in North Las Vegas next month.
"The addition of the rooftop deck gives the home three areas for outdoor living," Bethann Frusco, sales agent, said. "Homeowners will enjoy a deck off of their second-floor kitchen, the rooftop deck and their backyard. It is perfect for those who enjoy the outdoors."
Four floor plans are offered at Allora at Davyn Ridge, ranging from 1,355 to 1,936 square feet with prices starting in the low $100,000s.
All Ryland Homes are certified with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star Plus program, which gives buyers the benefit of owning a home that exceeds the energy efficiency of a standard home by 30 percent, according to Rogers.
New homes feature low-emissivity windows that keep out 77 percent of ultraviolet rays; dual zone heating and air conditioning with increased control over air flow; and compact florescent lighting with 13-watt light bulbs that provide the light of 60-watt bulbs, Rogers said.
Ryland is selling new homes in 12 neighborhoods throughout Southern Nevada. All sales offices are open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and noon-5 p.m. Monday. For more information, visit rylandvegas.com.
