Saturn dealership closes, workers move to Chevy

Saturn of Henderson will officially become Findlay Lincoln Mercury March 30, and seven employees of the Henderson location are moving on to Findlay Chevrolet.

The move makes sense since Findlay Chevrolet will provide service for all Saturn owners.

Saturn of Henderson employees packing their belongings and heading for Findlay Chevrolet are the following:

n General Manager Kevin Hicks, who will become parts and service director.

n Service Manager Tony Smith, who will assume the same title.

n Service adviser Don Pagel will become service consultant.

n World-class technician Justin Luke, one of among eight technicians to be recognized by General Motors Corp. for his expertise.

n Technician Shane Koehler will work as technician.

n Technician Jeff Kieger will also work as a technician.

n Sales consultant Ted Thaler will join Findlay Chevrolet in the same capacity.

Hicks, who joined Findlay Automotive Group seven years ago after moving to Southern Nevada from San Diego, said the group represents 99 years experience in the car business.

"This truly is a prize group of people joining Findlay Chevrolet," said Hicks. "In every facet of the world of Saturn, we will have it covered at Findlay Chevrolet whether we're talking about sales of GM products or the service aspects."

Findlay Chevrolet General Manager Justin Findlay welcomed the additional personnel.

"These are quality people," Findlay said. "In fact, we have bolstered our dealership with talented people who have worked elsewhere and this is a great example of that."

Findlay Chevrolet has 59 service bays to accommodate its customers. The 195,000-square-foot dealership situated on 11.5 acres opened in December of 2006.

Findlay Chevrolet is situated just east of Rainbow Boulevard and the Las Vegas Beltway. The dealership is part of the Findlay Automotive Group founded in 1961 by the late Pete Findlay whose son, Cliff, now spearheads dealerships in Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Idaho.
