Summerlin offers 100 plans in nearly two dozen subdivisions

The master-planned community of Summerlin features additional housing options for potential home buyers, according to Kevin Orrock, top division executive for The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of Summerlin.

"The housing market has risen to new heights in Summerlin -- literally," he said. "In the past few years, we've added three-story homes, mid-rise luxury condominiums and even lofts into Summerlin's list of home choices. The new styles and floor plans have not only diversified our home offerings, they've brought a trendy, urban feel to the suburbs. Today's consumers want the best of two worlds: the energy, diversity and convenience of an urban lifestyle in a beautiful and comfortable suburban setting."

More than 100 floor plans are available, including single, two- and three-story single-family homes, condominiums, townhomes, lofts and semi-custom homes.

Single-family homes are currently available in four Summerlin villages: The Ridges, The Vistas, Summerlin Centre and The Mesa.

Combined, the floor plans include one-, two- and three- story homes that range from 1,515 to nearly 6,000 square feet and are priced from the high $200,000s to more than $2 million.

Single-family homes selling include Boulder Ridge by Christopher Homes; Kingwood Knoll by Ryland Homes; Kingwood Crossing by William Lyon Homes; and The Crown Series at Kingwood by R/S Development; Ladera Ridge and Crest by KB Home, Ladera Canyon by Richmond American Homes and Ladera Terrace by Engle Homes; Montage and Travata at West Park by Ryland Homes; Traccia by Toll Brothers; Cypress and Palmilla at Allerton Park by Woodside Homes; and Villa Trieste by Pulte Homes.

Townhome neighborhoods include the luxurious Fairway Hills by Toll Brothers in The Ridges Village and West Park Villas and Courtyards by William Lyon Homes in Summerlin Centre. Floor plans range from 1,556 to nearly 3,000 square feet. Prices range from the high $200,000s to the low $600,000s.

C2 Lofts by A Christopher Co. in Summerlin Centre is Summerlin's first loft project and recently opened two models for viewing. Floor plans range from 1,530 to nearly 3,000 square feet and are priced from the upper $600,000s to nearly $1 million.

Mira Villa by Westmark Homes is Summerlin's only mid-rise luxury condominium project and the final neighborhood selling in The Canyons Village. The neighborhood offers home buyers six floor plans that range from 2,071 to nearly 4,000 square feet and are priced from the low $900,000s.

Coronado is another project of Westmark Homes. The neighborhood, located in The Paseos Village, offers condominium floor plans that range from 1,305 to 1,803 square feet and are priced from the high $200,000s to the low $400,000s.

Several additional neighborhoods representing both local and national home builders are scheduled to open in 2008.

"Thoughtful land planning, abundant amenities and diverse, quality housing options remain Summerlin hallmarks and are the very features that will continue to keep the community Southern Nevada's most desirable address," he said. "A home is usually the single biggest investment most consumers make in their lifetime. That's why a home's setting -- its neighborhood and community -- is equally important. As Southern Nevada's premier community for nearly two decades, Summerlin has already proven its long-term value."

Developed by The Howard Hughes Corp., an affiliate of General Growth Properties, Inc., Summerlin began to take shape in 1990 and is a 22,500-acre master-planned community located along the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley.

The community features amenities and is currently home to more than 95,000 residents. With about 7,500 acres still to develop, including its urban core, Summerlin Centre, Summerlin is continuing to unfold.

Summerlin is home to more than 100 neighborhood and village parks, more than 150 completed miles of the Summerlin trail system, nine golf courses, a dozen houses of worship, shopping centers, medical and cultural facilities, business parks, 22 public and private schools and more than 100 actively selling floor plans.

Single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums and lofts are available, priced from the low $200,000s to more than $2 million.

Custom home sites in The Ridges are priced from the $500,000s. Apartment homes offer monthly rents starting from the upper $800s.
