‘Yoo-Hoo, Mrs. Goldberg’

The Complete Las Vegan loves movies like "You-Hoo, Mrs. Goldberg". If you get a chance, go see it.
Frankly, I didn't know a thing about this early radio show and television show. But before there was "I Love Lucy" there was "You-Hoo, Mrs. Goldberg". And it helped the country get through the Great Depression by depicting a functional, cohesive Jewish family -- old world mom, dad and uncle, with new world son and daughter -- that placed the value of family, love and G-d above worldly things and woes.
It's a documentary, so be warned of that in advance. But it was interesting and thought-provoking. Take a break from the Hollywood stuff, and do your soul a favor. Besides, no matter who you are, or what your background, is it gonna kill you to spend a couple of hours with your Jewish mother?
Of course not.
Do yourself a favor, darling. Open the proverbial alley window and yell: "You-Hoo, Mrs. Goldberg!"
You'll be glad you did.
